Lichfield-Makerspace is intended to be a membership organisation. Although membership will be open and inclusive, a formal membership will enable L-M to keep in touch with its users, to keep its users involved in development and strategy, and to promote the sharing of skills and knowledge so essential to a successful Makerspace.

Members will be expected to pay a regular subscription to help cover the day-to-day costs of maintaining the Makerspace. It may be that charges will also need to be levied for materials and other consumables.

Members may also be asked to help raise funds when a particular piece of equipment is needed.

As Lichfield-Makerspace is a non-profit community interest group, no profits are to be made and any surplus from raising funds or subscriptions will always be reinvested in L-M.

Until there has been more progress it is not appropriate to open applications for membership. If you are interested please register on this site, and subject of course to our privacy policy we will keep you informed of any progress and let you know of any events that are being organised.
