This is the web site of Lichfield-Makerspace. A non profit group created to establish a Makerspace Community in Lichfield

Makerspaces have been set up in many towns around the world to promote creative collaboration using current and evolving technologies which would not be available at home for most people. Visit our Makerspaces page to learn more about the Makerspace movement.

Lichfield-Makerspace would aim to collect suitable (machines?) and make them available on a open access basis to members, some portable devices may also be available on loan. For more details about the technologies we would hope to offer see our Technologies page.

As the objective is not just to provide tools but to create a skills exchange environment, access will be limited to members, but of course membership will be open to all. For details of our proposed membership scheme, see our Membership page.

Whilst we are still in the early stages of the project and cannot yet offer an operational Makerspace, we invite any one interested in helping or just being informed about our progress to register on the Registration Page.

What we need

Our long term objectives depend on being able to establish a permanent space, ideally supporting several workshops so that different technologies can be isolated, and a communal area for meeting and sharing ideas and skills
